C57BL/6J mice were fed high fat diets for 9 weeks, then switched to one of four diets for an additional 6 weeks: 1) continued HFD. 2) HFD+RS. 3) HFD+L. plantarum NCIMB8826. 4) HFD+RS+LP. Cecal contents were harvested after the 15 week study. 16S rRNA genes were amplified from the gDNA, pooled, and sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq using the PE250 protocol.
