Woman's head

Beige-brown clay containing mica. Remains of the white coating as well as traces of reddish-brown colour in the hair. At the back of the head a part of the hair is chipped off, the nose is bumped. The head is notched on the right side of the neck. On the underside of the neck there is a modern attachment hole as well as traces of glue. The narrow head with a bun is worked as an insert head, as the notch on the right side of the neck shows. The face is elongated and narrow with a slight double chin. The hair is parted in the middle and taken to the back of the head in voluminous, subsequently loosely notched strands.
