Characterization dataset of carbon nitride electrodes with focus on FTO/Carbon nitride interface

Data used in the main figures of the publication 'Aminosilanized Interface Promotes Electrochemically-stable Carbon Nitride Films with Fewer Trap States on FTO for (Photo)electrochemical Systems'. The dataset contains characterization and activity data for a series of carbon nitride electrode samples. Carbon nitride was grown on FTO, plasma-cleaned FTO, and aminosilanized plasma-cleaned FTO . Pt was also added on top of the CNx for some samples. Structural (FTIR, SEM) and optical (absorption, emission, TAS) characterizations were obtained for the series of electrodes in order to explain the differences observed in electrocatalytic hydrogen production. The data was generated to better understand charge flow across the different carbon nitride interfaces during electrocatalysis.
