Synthetic candidates and political parties

This dataset compiles the first systematic collection of synthetic political actors — political parties and candidates using artificial intelligence agents or chatbots as their representatives, leaders, or candidates. The dataset contains 12 cases of AI-driven parties and candidates from various countries (Denmark, Finland, Japan, Sweden, the United Kingdom, etc.), including information about their AI agents, year of establishment, participation in elections, political agenda, organisational form, and online presence. The aim of this dataset is to provide a foundation for the study of synthetic politics, algorithmic representation, and digital democratic innovation.
