NRS-1728 | Photographs of Government House stables

This series consists of 18 black and white photographs, 11cm by 8cm each in size, featuring the exterior of the Government House stables from a variety of aspects. Some photographs include early signs of work in progress in the courtyard area, following the allocation of the building as premises for the Conservatorium of Music. Conversion of the building to accommodate the Conservatorium was completed in early 1915. The photographs are contained in a small album, with the date July 1913 and the signature H.Whitehouse written on the front cover. Inside the album, Don N.L.Salmon, 24.12.1951 is written in pencil along the side of the first page. This was formerly Mitchell Library M.L. A3233
