The AntOcean project integrates three complementary lines of research. The Sonda project studies how the great currents of the Southern Ocean move and their role in the climate; The Temperate project analyzes changes in the shape and structure of the Antarctic territory over millions of years to understand how they influence the climate; and The Baseline project investigates the communities of microalgae that float in the ocean, which are the basis of the food chain (phytoplankton), as indicators of environmental change.
