A survey from April 2020 asked Italian individuals if the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown influenced their gaming behavior. Roughly four in ten respondents claimed to have dedicated more time to video games during the lockdown. Whereas 28 percent of respondents believed that the time dedicated to gaming increased, about 14 percent of interviewees claimed that the gaming time increased significantly during the lockdown. On the other hand, about 43 percent of respondents thought that the situation did not influence their usual gaming behavior.
