Haemaphysalis flava Raw sequence reads

The tick Haemaphysalis flava is one of the most significant blood-feeding arthropod parasites and is a vector for numerous human and animal pathogens. Tick saliva plays a pivotal role in pathogen transmission. However, information on the microbial populations present in tick saliva remains scarce. This study used such technology to perform a comprehensive survey of the microbial communities found in the saliva of adult H. flava females. This will contribute to elucidating the mechanisms involved in pathogen transmission via saliva.
