Mangrove ecosystems are distributed broadly from tropical to subtropical regions. Despite the vital role of microorganisms for ecosystem functioning, but little is known about the underlying mechanisms shaping prokaryotic distribution patterns and their network structure at a large scale. We undertook large environmental samples from different mangrove ecosystems to evaluate the biogeographical patterns and drivers of prokaryotic diversity at a regional scale.
