The evolution of nesting behavior in birds

Nest construction is probably the most intriguing behavior of birds and has significantly contributed to their evolutionary success. However, the genomic mechanisms underlying avian nesting behavior remain unexplored. By investigating transcriptomic profiles, we aim to reveal how genetics contribute to nesting behaviors.
