Data and code for project "The ecological relevance of flagellar motility in soil bacterial communities"

Repository containing the necessary files and code to replicate the results presented in study "The ecological relevance of flagellar motility in soil bacterial communities". This work investigated the prevalence of flagellar motility across the bacterial tree of life using gene-based predictive approaches, and identified the life history strategies associated with this trait. Using metagenomic data, the study investigated the prevalence of flagellar motility as a community-aggregated trait across soil carbon gradients, and identified a consistent association between flagellar motility and soil carbon availability.
