Influence of age on knowledge of climate change and information contained on energy efficiency labels in the City of Buenos Aires

<strong>ABSTRACT</strong> Climate change is a consequence of the intensive use of energy since the time of the industrial revolution. In addition, this change has increased in recent years. In this study, we will examine the use of energy efficiency labels in the city of Buenos Aires as an effective tool to mitigate climate change. To this end, we will analyze how these types of labels are used to overcome information asymmetries that can lead to market failures. We will discuss some results from a survey conducted in February 2021 among consumers in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will also examine how consumers' personal choices contribute to climate change mitigation Finally, we offer some brief conclusions and recommendations.
