The statistic displays the results of a survey concerning packaged goods purchase preferences in the Netherlands in 2018, by age. The survey results show that as of 2018, the majority of respondents, across all age groups, preferred to buy big or international brands when it came to packaged goods. In 2018, the share of respondents who preferred to buy local or national products was highest among 18 to 24 year olds, at roughly ten percent, whereas roughly five percent of 25 to 34 year olds indicated that they were inclined to buy locally in the same year.
