Quantifying Net Playing Time and Its Tactical Consequences in Professional Football Using Event-Based Data Analytics

This dataset contains the complete reproducible analysis pipeline for the paper "Quantifying Net Playing Time and Its Tactical Consequences in Professional Football Using Event-Based Data Analytics". It includes the Jupyter notebook with all analysis code, generated result tables, and figures from 219 elite international matches (614,489 event records) from FIFA World Cups 2018/2022 and FIFA Women's World Cups 2019/2023. The analysis covers net playing time estimation, stoppage decomposition, expected threat (xT) modelling, regression analysis, and machine learning predictions using open StatsBomb event data.
