R/V Atlantis/ALVIN (DSV-2): AT26-13 Biogeochemical Studies, Gulf of Mexico, March 29 - April 22, 2014

​​The R/V Atlantis cruise AT 26-13 set sail with the HOV Alvin on board on March 30, 2014. The objectives of the cruise were to visit sites impacted by the Macondo Blowout as well as n​atural seeps sites dominated by oil and gas discharge. The science team included biological and chemical oceanographers, geochemists, microbiologists, as well as a tream equipped for remote sensing and documentation of seafloor dynamics using in situ camera systems. The cruise sailed on March 30 and returned April 23. GoMRI funded Alvin dives occurred on March 30th and April 1st of 2014. This dataset includes sediment samples collected on those dives.
