We report the detection of the DNA of Moellerella wisconensis (Gammaproteobacteria: Enterobacteriaceae) in four adult ticks (Dermacentor variabilis) that were feeding on wild striped skunks in Manitoba, Canada. This represents the first report of this rare, potentially enteric human pathogen, in ticks.
