OverviewThis repository contains the supporting data and visualization scripts for the manuscript "Active-source Seismic Imaging of Shallow Marine Subsurface Structure Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing," submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth. Due to the proprietary nature of the raw telecommunication fiber-optic DAS recordings which are operated by a third-party service provider and subject to confidentiality agreements, the raw continuous waveforms cannot be publicly distributed. To ensure full academic transparency and reproducibility, this repository provides all necessary evaluatable processed data to independently support the principal imaging and geological interpretations of the manuscript. Dataset ContentsThe repository is structured to provide clear evidence of the data conditioning workflow and final imaging results: Folder: Figure_data This folder contains the data matrices and corresponding MATLAB plotting scripts used to generate Figures 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 in the manuscript. - Figures 2, 6, and 8: Contain representative uninterpolated pre-stack gather matrices. To ensure ultimate transparency, the exact MATLAB plotting scripts are provided, demonstrating that spatial interpolation (via the 'interp2' function) was applied purely for publication-quality visual rendering and does not alter the underlying wavefield kinematics. - Figures 4, 5, and 7: Contain the processed zero-offset profiles at various processing stages. - Figure 9: Contains the depth-domain velocity model utilized for Reverse Time Migration (RTM). - Figures 10, 11, 12, and 13: Contain the final migrated imaging results. Note that the display gains (e.g., 'caxis' limits in MATLAB) are individually optimized within the scripts to best visualize the specific structural characteristics of each panel. Folder: Processed_data_example This folder uses Shot 151 as a representative example to demonstrate the intermediate wavefields at different sequential processing steps. These data matrices retain their original acquisition grids without any spatial interpolation or cosmetic alterations. Methodology & ReproducibilityNo novel processing algorithms were developed specifically for this study. The data processing and imaging workflows were implemented using established standard seismic methodologies via MATLAB R2023b, the open-source CREWES toolbox, and Seismic Unix (SU) 44R28.
