Landing typhoon data set of Hainan Province (1949–2022)

This dataset is based on the data from the "Tropical Cyclone Data Centre of China Meteorological Administration" (CMA) and the China Typhoon Network. Using ArcGIS software and relevant mathematical methods, the central wind speed at the time of landfall of landfalling typhoons in Hainan Province, the speed of the typhoon's travelling speed as well as the length of typhoon transit paths of the cities and counties are computed, to build up a dataset of the characteristics of landfalling typhoons in Hainan Province in the period 1949-2022. Time range: 1949-2022. Geographical scope: Hainan Province (18°10’N-20°10’N, 108°37’E -111°03’E), Sansha City is not included.This dataset is composed of two parts, one is tabular data and the other is vector data. The tabular datasets include two files: "Frequency of landfall typhoons in Hainan Province from 1949 to 2022" and "Temporal and spatial characteristics data of landfall typhoons in Hainan Province1949 to 2022.zip". The vector data includes "Typhoon transit path length of cities and counties in Hainan Province from 1949 to 2022.zip". In addition, the image file format for each variable (jpg) is provided for ease of reference.
