The comparative transcriptomic analysis was performed among leaf, sterile bract, fertile bract and flower through RNA-seq.In total, The sequencing yielded raw reads, which after assembled using Trinity yielded 238895 transcripts representing 66224 unigenes. Moreover, highly-expressed genes and transcription factors (TFs) present in petaloid bract were identified. This study provides insights into the molecular networks underlying floral organ development and petaloid bracts.
