We propose new, deep EPIC observations of the ULX NGC 5408 X1. Our previousobservations reveal a pattern of timing and spectral behavior very analogous tothat seen in Galactic black holes, but with longer timescale and higherluminosity, strongly indicative of a virgul1000 solar mass black hole in X1. Withnew exposures we will 1) map out the timing spectral correlations to enablemore rigorous comparison with Galactic systems. 2) Search for analogs of thehigh frequency QPOs in Galactic black holes in the Steep Powerlaw State. 3)Search for relativistically broadened Fe lines. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
