This dataset reports data collected from three NOAA research aircraft flights conducted before (August 16), during (August 28) and after (August 30) the passage of Hurricane Isaac over the eastern Gulf of Mexico in 2012. Specifically, this dataset reports the 20 and 26 degrees Celsius isotherm depth, mixed layer depth, sea surface temperature, and ocean heat content data measured through 63 deployments of Airborne EXpendable BathyThermographs (AXBTs).
