README Dataset titleHigh-Fidelity CFD Prediction of Self-Propelled KCS Maneuvering in Waves: Data Repository 1. Dataset overviewThis dataset supports the paper entitled:“High-Fidelity CFD Prediction of Self-Propelled KCS Maneuvering in Waves”. The study investigates the self-propelled manoeuvring performance of the KCS container ship in regular waves using a high-fidelity CFD framework. The main focus is on:(1) the effect of propeller-model fidelity (geometry-resolved propeller versus virtual-disk/virtual propeller model),(2) ship manoeuvring responses in waves, including zigzag and turning-circle manoeuvres,(3) the influence of wave heading and rudder angle on turning trajectory, roll response, thrust fluctuation, speed loss, heave, and related hydrodynamic behaviours. 2.
