Dataset of bucket flotation process: Time and resource management in the EcoPLis Project (Leiria, Portugal)

This dataset records the bucket flotation process conducted within the EcoPLis project - Pleistocene Occupation of the Ecotones of River Lis, focusing on archaeological sediments recovered from Abrigo do Poço and Abrigo da Buraca da Moira sites (Leiria, Portugal). For each flotation batch, the dataset includes the sample volume (L), time spent (hh:mm:ss), number of participants, and quantity of buckets used. These data were collected to quantify the costs in time, human, and material resources associated with the flotation process. While based on a specific case study, this dataset provides an empirical baseline useful for the planning and management of archaeological fieldwork in research, public, and private sectors.
