This dataset is a collection of daily metrics for COVID-19 in England from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Dashboard. It is a sibling source to `ukhsa-respiratory` (weekly multi-pathogen surveillance). It was split out because the daily-cadence and count-based units of these metrics do not pivot cleanly into the weekly per-100k rates used in the parent dataset for flu/RSV. The dataset covers the time period from 2020-01-30 to 2026-04-22, with a daily cadence, at the subnational-state geography level, for the country GB (England), focusing on the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen under respiratory surveillance. It contains 2,275 rows and key columns include: daily confirmed COVID-19 cases, daily hospital admissions with COVID-19, hospital beds occupied by COVID-19 patients (point-in-time), daily ONS-registered deaths with COVID-19 mentioned, and daily PCR tests resulted. The dataset is openly available via API, licensed under OGL UK 3.0.
