Gut microbiota profiling in elderly patients with hypertension and chronic kidney disease: a cross-sectional study in Chengdu, China (2024)

This project includes 16S rRNA sequencing data from fecal samples collected in 2024 from elderly individuals residing in Chengdu, China. The samples were obtained as part of a cross-sectional population-based study investigating gut microbiota alterations associated with hypertension and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Sequencing was performed using the Illumina platform, and the data were used to evaluate microbial diversity, composition, and potential functional characteristics in relation to clinical indicators.
