Provision B25 of SDAGE 2022-2027: Protecting the resources that feed the most threatened catchments
The preservation of the quality of water intended for human consumption is a priority objective of the Water Framework Directive, laid down in Article 7.
In the Adour Garonne basin, there are approximately 5,300 drinking water intakes.
Of these, about 300 are called “degraded”, i.e. they use a resource
raw water degraded sustainably by diffuse pollution (phytosanitary and nitrates).
Among these “degraded” catchments: “priority” capture within the meaning of the SDAGE (designated as part of the Grenelle de l’environnement in 2007 or the 2013 environmental conference); there are 95 (collected in 76 catching fields); Other degraded catchments are referred to as “sensitive” catchments.
