Bluetooth Low Energy beacons
收藏资源简介:
Brisbane City Council is rolling out an initial set of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons in selected public outdoor locations to support delivery of an innovation Proof of Concept. BLE beacons are small radio transmitters that broadcast a short, anonymous identifier using standard Bluetooth technology. Nearby smartphones or devices that have Bluetooth enabled may choose to detect these broadcasts and use them as reference points for hyper local location identification, particularly in areas where GPS accuracy can be reduced. This dataset publishes the physical location and technical details of Council installed beacons only. It allows app developers, researchers, and the community to understand where beacons are installed and to build applications that can improve navigation, wayfinding, and accessibility. Council provides the infrastructure only. How beacon signals are interpreted is entirely determined by user-controlled application. The Dataset schema section of this dataset contains further information for this dataset.
