PANGAEA - Publishing Network for Geoscientific and Environmental Data

The information system PANGAEA is operated as an Open Access library aimed at archiving, publishing and distributing georeferenced data from earth system research. The system guarantees long-term availability of its content through a commitment of the operating institutions. The system is hosted by Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), 27515 Bremerhaven, Germany and the Center for Marine Environmental Sciences (MARUM), University of Bremen, 28359 Bremen, Germany; supported with funding by The European Commission, Research, Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), and the International Ocean Drilling Program (IODP).
