# Dataset Introduction
## Overview
The Rock Paper Scissors dataset contains 2,892 images of diverse hands performing the rock, paper, or scissors gestures. It includes images of various hands from different racial, age, and gender groups, posed in rock, paper, or scissors positions and labeled correctly. All images were generated using CGI technology as part of an experiment to determine whether CGI-based datasets could be used for real-world image classification tasks.
Note that all data is presented against a white background, with each image being 300 × 300 pixels in 24-bit color.
