Geospatial Analysis of War-Induced Landscape Degradation in Zaporizhzhia Region (2021-2025)

This dataset contains a comprehensive collection of spatial, tabular, and analytical data used to assess war-induced landscape and soil degradation across 7 monitoring plots in the Orikhiv district, Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine. The analysis covers a spatiotemporal period from 2021 (pre-war baseline) to 2025, utilizing Copernicus Sentinel-2 L2A satellite imagery, derived terrain slope gradients (Copernicus DEM 30m), and spectral indices (Normalized Burn Ratio - NBR, differenced NBR - dNBR, Bare Soil Index - BSI). The repository includes:1. 01_Spatial_Data: GeoJSON boundaries, reprojected masks, and GeoTIFF rasters (NBR, dNBR, BSI, Slope) in EPSG:32636 (WGS 84 / UTM zone 36N) for Plots 1–7.2. 02_Tabular_Data: Master summary Excel workbooks and raw QGIS zonal statistics reports.3. 03_Scripts: Python (pandas, openpyxl, seaborn) and PyQGIS automation scripts, along with custom Sentinel Hub JavaScript Evalscripts.4. 04_Figures: High-resolution overview study maps, slope gradient profiles, and analytical degradation charts.
