The dataset includes the temperature data of each hydropower station in different seasons and the daily surface temperature data at an elevation of 0 cm. The temperature data of hydropower stations is the surface temperature data of the study area in the wet season and the dry season before and after the construction of each hydropower station. The hydropower stations include Liyuan hydropower station and Ahai hydropower station in the dry-hot valley, Jinghong hydropower station and Laxiwa hydropower station in non-dry-hot valley. Based on the Landsat thermal infrared data, the surface temperature data were retrieved by atmospheric correction method. The data is used to calculate the temperature difference (relative temperature) between the reservoir and the downstream river of the dam and the temperature difference between the reservoir and the surrounding area. the daily surface temperature data at an elevation of 0 cm belongs to meteorological station data, which comes from China Meteorological data network. It was used to verify the accuracy of temperature inversion and calculate the annual average temperature of each study area in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
