Catchment area of the Kehricht combined heat and power plant (CHP) St.Gallen

The catchment area of the St.Gallen heat and power plant consists of 41 municipalities from the cantons of St.Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and Thurgau. This catchment area with over 200'000 inhabitants is known as the “Waste Region St.Gallen – Rorschach – Appenzell”, as there is extensive cooperation in the field of waste management. The main task of the KHK St.Gallen is the treatment of combustible waste from the region.
