Plant species presence-absence data and topography data from barrancos in La Palma, Canary Islands

These data sets contain plant species and topographic information for 2x11m plots located within barrancos on the island of La Palma, Canary Islands.<br>Information on how data were collected and analysed is available in the associated publication: <b>Cutts, V., Katal, N., Löwer, C., Algar, A. The effect of small-scale topography on patterns of endemism within islands. <em>Frontiers of Biogeography</em>, 11(4). </b><br>The species data contains presence-absence data per plot. It also denotes if a species is an archipelago endemic (AE), single-island endemic (SIE) or invasive (I). Species that do not have an accurate ID are labelled 'Uknown_#' or labelled with the known genera followed by 'spec'. <br>The plot data contains barranco depth (by four different measures, in metres), height to width ratio and altitude for each plot. GPS points are available for most plots, with the exception of plots in barranco 2 and barranco 3 (GPS points were taken incorrectly during sampling). <br><br>
