There is no lack of panoromic beauty though Tripura may be small in size and surrounded by forest and hillocks in the North-East region of India. Different Tribes and Bengalees have been living side by side since the time of the Kings.Cultural communication have taken place due to long time living together. Gradually, cultural exchange has been noticed and that amalgamation still discernible in the state. After the independence in 1947, the Bengalees of East Pakistan started entering into Tripura like flow of water. Once, calm and silent Tripura became much Violent. With the entrance of the Bengalees, a huge commotion takes place in the lives of the so called Jhum dependent Tribes. The population of the State gets divided into two groups, one is the Bengalees and the other is the Tribals. As a result, a strong relationship grew up between the Tribes of the forest and the Bengalees of the Plains. With the exchange of Heart and Soul, there has been an endeavor to create a Society with Communal harmony. In spite of that, in the succeeding years especially, in the 1980's the kinship between the Tribes and the Bengalees got breached which once turned into chaotic condition.
