Identification of renal resident macrophages across species [10X]

We use single cell RNA sequencing to identify an evolutionarily conserved gene expression signature in resident macrophages. Based on our single cell data, we show the presence of a core gene expression signature in a cluster of innate immune cells in mouse, rat, pig, and human kidney tissue. Further, using this gene expression signature, we identify novel candidate markers for resident macrophages that span all 4 species tested.本研究采用单细胞RNA测序（single cell RNA sequencing）技术，鉴定组织驻留巨噬细胞（resident macrophages）中的进化保守基因表达特征（gene expression signature）。基于本研究的单细胞测序数据，我们证实小鼠、大鼠、猪及人类肾脏组织内的先天免疫细胞簇均存在核心基因表达特征。进一步依托该基因表达特征，我们成功鉴定出覆盖本次检测全部4个物种的组织驻留巨噬细胞新型候选标志物。
