Effect of IL-1b treatment on cultured rat aortic smooth muscle cells

IL-1 plays an important role in atherosclerosis, and alters expression of a number of genes involved in atherosclerotic plaque development and progression. Smooth muscle cells play important roles in atherosclerotic plaque formation and stability, so this study was undertaken to determine the global effects of IL-1b on gene expression in smooth muscle cells in vitro.白介素-1（IL-1）在动脉粥样硬化中发挥关键作用，可调控诸多参与动脉粥样硬化斑块形成与进展的基因的表达。平滑肌细胞在动脉粥样硬化斑块的形成及稳定性维持中具有重要功能，因此本研究旨在探究白细胞介素-1β（IL-1β）对体外培养的平滑肌细胞基因表达的全局影响。
