Supporting metadata for a study of HBV serology among hospital in-patients in Bangladesh

The attached data file (.xslx) is supporting metadata on 201 patients recruited in Bangladesh for a study on fever, and screened for hepatitis B virus (HBV). A key for the data is provided in the second spreadsheet. Patients were recruited at two sites in Dhaka and were eligible for inclusion if they were ≥18 years of age with a history of fever >38°C for over 48 hours. In additional to blood work for the fever study, patients were screened for HBsAg and total anti-HBc. All patients that were anti-HBc positive were then further tested for HBV DNA.
