资源简介:
Pari Island is known for its rich marine biodiversity and is one of the top marine eco-tourism destinations in the Seribu Islands, though it is currently threatened by climate change and pollution. However, microbiota community profiles in this area is still limited. This study aims to create a database of the bacterial communities in the water column of Ascidia sp. in-situ environments, which can be used as bioindicators for the conservation of marine biodiversity in Pari Island. Genomic DNA was isolated using the ZymoBIOMICS DNA Kit. Shotgun metagenomic sequencing was performed using the DNBseq-G50 platform. Bioinformatics tools were employed to analyze the sequencing data, revealing that Proteobacteria dominated the microbial community at 54%, followed by Cyanobacteria at 18%, Viruses at 9%, Archaea at 2%, Eukaryote at 0,9%, and 0,04% to unclassified bacterial viruses. Proteobacteria was found to be the dominant phylum, with metabolic functions being a major feature of the microbiome. This data provides valuable insights for the conservation of marine biodiversity in the face of climate change and pollution. This dataset represents the first report on the microbial communities of Pari Island.
