资源简介:
This dataset contains the Data used for the publication The evolution ofnovel mouthpart interlocking 2mechanismsin ants(Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society. This includes Raw Micro-CT Scan data not yet published and not included in the Antscan project, which will be published seperately in a databank (biomedisa.info/antscan). Also included is a MS Excel spreadsheet with the Scan parameters for these scans.
Additionally, this dataset contains volume renderings and SEM images that show the mouthparts, specifically the interlocking mechanism between maxilla and labrum for all taxa for which micro-CT scan data and/ or SEM data were available.
It also includes the phylogenetic trees used in the analyses. These trees are originally based on Nelsen et al. (2018) but as described in the paper, are modified by including the fossil Gerontoformica, rearranging some branches according to current phylogenetic hypotheses and adapting the tree from species to genus level. The pred and palp trees are the cropped trees used for analyses including predation or palp length, as we did not have data on all genera for these characters.
Finally, the dataset also contains result files from BayesTraits analyses of dependent evolution and of ancestral state reconstruction. In both cases, Schedule files, giving information about the reversible Jump analysis, and log files recording all parameters of the model at each iteration are provided. Additionally, stone files calculating the marginal logLikelihood of different models are provided for the pedendent and independent models of evolution. Models of dependent and independent evolution were additionally run two times, while ancestral reconstructions were only run with one chain.
