Pristipomoides zonatus (Oblique-banded Snapper) genome, fPriZon2

The Oblique-banded Snapper (Pristipomoides zonatus) is distributed across the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa to Hawaii and Tahiti, extending north to southern Japan and south to Australia, including Lord Howe Island. This species inhabits marine benthopelagic zones at depths ranging from 70 to 300 meters, typically between 125 and 275 meters. This assembly is based on PacBio HiFi long reads, Dovetail Omni-C libraries and Illumina short reads. Data was generated at the Minderoo OceanOmics Centre at the University of Western Australia and assembled in house using a custom pipeline (https://github.com/MinderooFoundation) that follows Vertebrate Genomes Project workflows (https://vertebrategenomesproject.org/).
