B. sorokiniana is a hemibiotrophic parasitic fungus, it is one of the main pathogens responsible for stem rot, leaf blight and leaf spot of oats. It also can cause root rot, crown rot and black spot of wheat, barley and many other grass species.We reported the genome sequence of strain Yt-6, which was isolated from diseased leaves of naked oat cultivar Bayou 6 in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, ChinaIt was identified as B. sorokiniana according to its morphological characteristics and multi-site sequence. At present, only genomes of B. sorokiniana isolated from wheat (reference strain BS-112 genome, ) and barley (reference strain GN1 genome) have been reported, and its assembly quality was low because only Illumina short-read sequencing technology was used. To better understand the genomic traits and provide preliminary insights into pathogenicity, we presented a high-quality genome of B. sorokiniana isolate Yt-6.
