Natural products from the genus Streptomyces serve as sustainable source for drug discovery as more genomes were sequenced and mined using bioinformatics tools. Here, we report the whole genome sequencing and assembly of a possible new species of Streptomyces, Streptomyces tubbatahaiensis strain DSD3025 from the marine sediments of Tubbataha Reefs National Park, a UNESCO world heritage center, in the Philippines. Streptomyces tubbatahaiensis strain 3025 produces antibacterial and anticancer compounds that can be used as drug lead for treating bacterial infections and cancer.
