The dataset investigates the role of sustainable supply chain practices in alleviating energy poverty in developing countries. It was collected through a structured survey targeting stakeholders, including supply chain managers, energy providers, policymakers, and community leaders, to explore the interplay between supply chain practices, community integration, and energy poverty alleviation. The data provides empirical insights into the implementation and sustainability of renewable energy systems, focusing on critical practices such as local sourcing, logistics efficiency, community engagement, and environmental sustainability.
Key constructs were measured using a validated 5-point Likert scale and analyzed through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (EFA and CFA) to ensure reliability and validity. The study employs Necessary Condition Analysis (NCA) to identify essential supply chain practices that are indispensable for achieving effective energy access. The analysis highlights the minimum thresholds required for factors such as efficient logistics, regular maintenance, community involvement, and training programs to significantly impact energy poverty outcomes.
The dataset’s findings have significant implications for policy and practice, offering a robust framework to guide investments in supply chain logistics, capacity building, and community integration. By emphasizing indispensable supply chain elements and identifying critical bottlenecks, the research provides a foundation for targeted strategies to enhance the delivery and sustainability of renewable energy systems in underserved regions. This study contributes to the growing literature on sustainable supply chains by providing actionable insights into their role as catalysts for energy poverty alleviation.
