Code and metadata for "Soil and climate drive tree beta diversity across forest strata in the Peruvian Amazon"

This repository contains three R scripts and associated plot-level metadata used in the study "Soil and Climate drive tree beta diversity across forest strata in the Peruvian Amazon", intended for submission to the journal Plant Diversity. The scripts reproduce key analyses performed in the study:1. Mantel and partial Mantel tests between floristic, environmental and geographic distance matrices.2. Variance partitioning using climatic, edaphic and geographic variables.3. PERMANOVA analyses to identify significant environmental predictors, followed by NMDS ordinations with environmental fitting (envfit) based on the selected variables. The metadata file includes geolocation, elevation, and forest type for each plot. Floristic data are available on request via ForestPlots. This Zenodo record is currently private and will be made public upon article acceptance.
