National Public Transport Gazetteer (NPTG)

The National Public Transport Gazetteer (NPTG) for Ireland is a dataset containing geographical information for all cities, towns and other localities on the island of Ireland. It provides a standard reference for Ireland's National Public Access Nodes (NaPTAN) dataset.

When used in conjunction with NaPTAN NPTG provides automated public transport facilities (such as online journey planners) with a means of providing stop finding and route planning capabilities using consistent names for locations and stops.

爱尔兰国家公共交通地名辞典（National Public Transport Gazetteer, NPTG）是一套涵盖爱尔兰全岛所有城市、城镇及其他各类地域的地理信息数据集，可为爱尔兰国家公共接入节点（National Public Access Nodes, NaPTAN）数据集提供标准化参考依据。当与NaPTAN配合使用时，NPTG可向自动化公共交通服务（如在线行程规划工具）提供基于统一命名的地点与站点信息，以此实现站点查找及路线规划功能。
