资源简介:

This dataset contains raw image data and particle tracking results from X-ray imaging experiments conducted to investigate the flow behavior of molten polymer through a heated nozzle during continuous extrusion, as used in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). The data was acquired using 2D projectional radiography inside a μ-CT scanner, with tracer particles embedded in the polymer melt and tracked via X-ray particle tracking velocimetry.

The experimental setup includes a custom-designed aluminum nozzle tailored for X-ray transparency and mounted in a YXLON FF20 CT scanner. Four distinct filament feed velocities (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 mm/s) were tested nozzle temperatures of 220 °C, 240 °C, and 260 °C. X-ray recordings were performed at 190 kV and 60 μA with 2×2 pixel binning, resulting in a frame rate of 15 Hz and an effective pixel size of 18.5 μm.

The raw data comprises image sequences cropped to the nozzle region of interest, along with background-subtracted image stacks used for particle detection. Tracer velocities were extracted using the TrackMate plugin in Fiji and further processed in Python to remove spurious tracks based on geometric and trajectory consistency criteria.

This dataset supports the analysis of velocity fields in polymer extrusion and enables further validation or extension of the presented tracking and image processing methodologies.
