In up to half of the patients, Covid-19 disease also manifested in the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics have beed suggested as possible modulator. In this study, we tested a 30-day probiotic intervention on the microbiome and gastrointestinal quality of life in home-quarantined Covid-19 patients with mild disease forms. We also included uninfected healthy volunteers during the pandemic as controls.
