资源简介:
A black and white photograph of Thomas W. Temple II and an unidentified woman in Spanish and Mexican costume on grass near Los Angeles Coliseum, 3911 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California, USA, 1931. Thomas is at right wearing his charro suit, including gold thread embroidered jacket and vest, a large black cravat tied at the neck of his white shirt, dark trousers and dark boots. The woman, who holds Thomas' hand, wears an all-white enselmble, including a ruffled skirt, and mantilla. In the background are picnic tables and people walking and seated, as well as some large trees. At the upper left, is a part of the upper tier of the stadium, seen from the outside. It is assumed this event was the 150th anniversary of the founding of Los Angeles, for which Temple was a member of a planning committee and that the location was the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. At the center of the lower front edge is the year "1931" written in red ink. With some small areas of staining and discoloration, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
