资源简介:
Fire stop data from What are the limits to the growth of boreal fires?
These files contain the data to reproduce the results presented in the paper What are the limits to the growth of boreal fires? by Thomas Janssen and Sander Veraverbeke published in Global Change Biology. The dataset is provided in two formats: a comma-separated values (CSV) file and a Geopackage file, both of which contain identical data. This data represents spatial "fire stop" locations, specifically 300-meter pixels surrounding fire scars in Northeast Siberia, derived from remote sensing data (2012–2022). The spatial point data is projected in EPSG:3576 – WGS 84 / North Pole LAEA Russia.
Each data entry includes the following columns:
"ID" - Unique object identifier; the first four digits is the year of burning"geometry" - Geometry of the spatial object (EPSG:3576)"burndate" - Burn date of the nearest burned pixel to the perimeter, expressed in days since 01-01-1970"firedirection" - Dominant fire spread direction (in degrees)"FireId" - Unique fire identifier "UIsland" - Indicates whether the fire stop is part of an unburned island (1) or the outer fire perimeter (0). "firearea" - Burned area of the fire (km2)"ecoregion" - Ecoregion name from Olson et al. 2001 https://doi.org/10.1641/0006-3568(2001)051[0933:TEOTWA]2.0.CO;2"landcover" - Land cover class based on Bartalev et al. (2003) and Bartalev et al. (2010)"fsubjects" - Federal subjects of the Russian Federation derived from GADM (Database of Global Administrative Areas)"year" - Year of the fire"month" - Month of the fire "lat" - Latitude (in degrees)"lon" - Longitude (in degrees)"lcdif" - Change in land cover class from inside to outside the perimeter "Firelandcover" - Majority land cover class inside the perimeter (burned)"Perimlandcover" - Majority land cover class outside the perimeter (unburned)"moisture" - Fuel moisture flag (decline in vapor pressure deficit or increase in soil moisture) "wind" - Wind fire spread index flag (decline in WFSI)"water" - Surface water flag (increase in surface water at the perimeter)"road" - Road flag (increase in road presence at the perimeter)"bhistory" - Burn history flag (increase in fuel reduction due to previous fire at the perimeter)"fuelload" - Fuel load flag (decline in above-ground fuel load, either above-ground biomass or tree cover)"fueltype" - Fuel type / Land cover flag (change in land cover class from inside to outside the perimeter) "dem" - DEM / Downslope flag (substantial decline in elevation (>5 degrees) at the perimeter)"unknown" - If none of the above variables are flagged, this column is assigned a value of "1".
