In this work we study the pulmonary toxicological properties of titanium dioxide using molecular toxicological approache. For this, we exposed Sprague Dawley rats by inhalation. Lung samples have been collected up to 180 days after the end of exposure and transcriptomics analysis were performed. 13 week old female Sprague Dawley rats were exposed by inhalation to TiO2 (1.5, 5 or 15 mg/m3). TiO2-induced gene expression profile in rat lung was performed 3, 30 and 180 days post exposure (3 time points). Each time point is composed of 6 control, 6 exposed rats. A total of 72 samples (microarrays) was used.
